The Pyrodyne Corporation was established in 1986 by Randall M. Smith, President & CEO, and holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Sciences and sits on several ASME Code Committees. The company specialized in the detailed mechanical design of process pressure vessels, pressure vessels for human occupancy (saturation diving chambers), heat exchangers, and machine/machinery design and other classified equipment for the U.S. Navy, as well as the offshore oil & gas industry, and continues to specialize in the detailed mechanical design of pressure vessels, ASME Code compliant piping systems, material sciences, and stress analysis (FEA) of vessel, piping, and heat transfer equipment components. Mr. Smith holds (and has pending) patents in pressure vessel closures and other mechanical equipment.
Mr. Will Hingle, P.E. became a co-owner in the company in 2019 and serves as its Executive Vice President and Manager of Engineering. Mr. Hingle brings 16 years of detailed mechanical systems and equipment design and analysis expertise to the company’s clients and is a licensed Professional Engineer in numerous jurisdictions.
